Jenson Button Selling His Ferrari

Jenson Button Selling His Ferrari

The McLaren superstar has been forced to sell his Ferrari as by legal laws and by McLaren rules he can’t drive any other car other than a Mercedes or a Maybach. Utton , 31, from Frome in Somerset, is now flogging the red supercar with the promise of signing the dashboard and meeting the new owner. But he won’t want to publicise the fact he is selling such an iconic vehicle – because of the fierce relationship between McLaren and Ferrari. The two companies have been battling it out in F1 for years and are now serious competitors in the road car market with the McLaren MP4-12C and Ferrari 458 Italia respectively.

Button has gone to a dealer in Essex and asked them to sell it privately on his behalf in a bid to keep the sale low profile. The dealer, which specialises in classic cars, has refused to discuss the car and how much Button is willing to accept for it due to a confidentiality agreement .But it is thought Button would accept around £1 million for the Enzo because of its perfect condition, low mileage and celebrity ownership. There is currently an identical model on sale in London advertised for £995,000.However, if Button held onto the car, which cost #418,000 new, the value is expected to skyrocket to more than #1.5 million over the next decade thanks to its desirability. Ferrari launched the Enzo in 2004, naming the vehicle after the company’s legendary founder .It has been fitted with a 6-litre V12 engine with develops 660bhp – enabling a 0-62mph time of just 3.65 seconds and a top speed of 220mph.
